EBAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE "get the item you ordered or your money back -- it's that simple"
EBAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE "get the item you ordered or your money back -- it's that simple"
Oh really???
Then how come an eBay ROBOT replied instantly to my claim (I submitted at 4AM today) telling me that the FedEx tracking records show that you received and signed for your order, sorry, no refund?
Buyer beware is all I can say.
Sounds like a good gaurantee on paper, but in reality eBay does not come through for its buyers.
The merchant seller has even started the lost/stolen package claims process with FedEx, yet eBay still contends that I the buyer received my 3 orders because FedEx tracking records are the GOSPEL Truth.
Sounds to me like eBay is just plain LAZY and does not want to put in any effort at all to investigate.
Buyer beware is all I can tell you.
Buyer beware.

Mentor3 years agoContact FedEx. It sounds like it might be their error. Tracking is all eBay has to go off of. Sellers are not responsible for theft of items; it is up to the buyer to provide a secure location for delivery or make arrangements for the item to be picked up.

OP3 years agoGo back to bed or stay out of the conversation until you have had some life experience of your own. You probably have never bought anything on eBay. It is not up to the Buyer to secure location for delivery. It is the Seller who takes supreme command of your delivery placing RESTRICTED DELIVERY upon the shipment which prevents the buyer from having any control of managing their delivery. The Signature Required part of the Seller's strategy is to help FedEx forge your signature and falsigy their tracking records to make it look like eBay buyers are receiving their orders and signing for them. Seller's even have the power to return you order once it arrives in the buyer's home town FedEx HUB shipping/receiving warehouse, before the order goes out for local delivery. Buyer's have ZERO control on managing their deliveries and Sellers can and do return your orders back to themselves by calling FedEx and asking them to the return the order before it is delivered to the Buyer. This SUCKS. It is an organized crime ring for sure. eBay does not have to abide by its MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. FedEx denies claims for lost/stolen packages, and they may even be keeping the missing mechandise themselves, or, they share this with the Sellers who abort delivery and return Buyer's merchandise back to themselves. All the time the FedEx forged/falsified tracking records make it look like the Buyer got their stuff. Everyone make out like a BANDIT, but the eBay Buyers get screwed. Nice setup you all have going her at eBay. Organized Crime salutes you!

Mentor3 years agoThe bots see that tracking states DELIVERED so you will automatically lose an Item Not Received case.
You take the tracking number down to the carrier (post office/FedEx/UPS). Have them check their GPS coordinates for where the package was delivered. If it was NOT to your name/address, then you get that statement on their letterhead. They do not need to state where it was delivered, just NOT to you.
Then you upload a copy of that letterhead into an appeal, to get your money back.
