eBay max bid
I won an auction today at exactly my max bid. I found this surprising. Has eBay policy changed to bill me for my max bid versus my winning bid. Or just o strange coincidence?

·2 years agoNothing strange about it. It means that either:
Someone else valued the item about the same as you and bid within 1 bid increment under your max (or the same amount but your bid was earlier)
OR
The seller valued the item the same as you and your max bid was the exact amount of the Reserve Price.

Mentor2 years agoGo to the listing, and click on the number of bids in parenthesis to get to the bid history. Note the bid just before your winning bid, which caused your maximum bid to go into effect.
