eBay main tracking says Delivered ...but has not
Small, but expensive brochure from the US to Philippines...done many times before without issue. This time..seller used eBay shipping, who in turn used ePG?.. and then SF Express? I have never heard of either of them. Checked my Summary today...tracking on main eBay Summary says 'Delivered' ....on 01 Apr. However, go to the tracking for ePG and SF Express...both say item rejected as public holiday..or similar. 01 Apr was Labor Day here so all govt places closed...inc. customs I guess. Trouble is... what happens now if it doesnt show??

OP1 year agoso.... the tracking on both ePG & SF Express directly, both continued to update over the next few days ...and then the item was 'handed over to agent'. A day or so later it was safely delivered to my house. The 'agent' turned out to be a well known local courier. Throughout those last few days, the main eBay Tracking summary... continued to say 'Delivered' and didn't change. All ended well thankfully but for those last few days I was naturally pretty stressed. I did send eBay a message explaining what had happened... why their tracking was incorrect .....but, of course ZERO response. I really do not like eBay International Shipping. In my experience it is expensive, very slow... and the chances of this happening again are increased. Unfortunately, of course the vast majority of sellers like it...so I'm stuck with it.

OP1 year agoOh my Lord!!.. I really cannot imagine anyone stealing the item...it is VERY specialised and would.mean nothing to anyone who wasnt interested in the subject. The false tracking no. thing?.. i guess thags possible...we all assume that sellers innour field of interest are decent guys.... but perhaps not. I have actually messaged him already.telling him tjat its NOT delivered and he reaponded quickly and was super apologetic...and hoping it is just delayed. Like always, he says...as soon as it gets into the eBay shipping system he has zero control over it.

Just so you know, eBay's tracking history is the only one that matters as far as eBay is concerned. Keep in mind that people don't steal items, they steal packages and open them up later. If the item is of no interest to them then they throw it away.
The majority of eBay transactions go off without a hitch but when members like you post here about eBay's tracking showing it was delivered but you don't have the item then reality can only be a number of scenarios. And yes, the false tracking number scam is real and most likely not limited to eBay.
Now, another scenario is possible and we see this too. USPS clerks who handle packages can set their scanner to Delivered if they are handing a package to a customer at their post office. If the next customer is shipping a package but they forget to change the scanner setting then they will accidentally scan the package Delivered instead of Shipped.
You can certainly wait a few days but no longer than 30 days if you want to file a claim through eBay. If you want to file a claim post back here for assistance.

If eBay shows that it was delivered to you but it wasn't then most likely it is another transaction where a Seller uses the False tracking number scam or the item was stolen by either the carrier or somebody else.
-The Seller used the False tracking number scam on you, meaning they shipped to a different address and if you file a claim that you did not receive the item you will lose the claim when they upload the bogus tracking number to the claim.
-You can contact the carrier and ask if the GPS delivery location they scanned matches your address, if not ask them for a document stating that. You can then request a callback from eBay with the document and let them know the Seller used the False tracking number scam on you and you would like a refund. eBay Customer Service
-If eBay does not issue you a refund you may have to pursue one with your funding source (PayPal - credit card, etc.).
-If on the other hand, the carrier's GPS scan shows it was delivered to your address then either carrier stoke it (scanned it delivered but kept it) or it was stolen. If stolen you will need to file a police report and see if your home owners or renters insurance will cover the loss.
