Ebay let transction go through for the buyer of item i sold Appealing a case about being scammed HELP
Summary: tenn_0 described a situation where they feel scammed after selling an $800 item on eBay, which was reportedly delivered to the wrong address by USPS. They didn't know a signature was needed for items over $750 for seller protection and is confused about policy and processes. comics-scifi-collectibles suggested contacting USPS to investigate the delivery issue and advised following eBay's procedures to address payout concerns. They also mentioned the importance of a signature for seller protection and suggested considering the loss as a potential tax write-off.
I feel as ifi g9t scammed i shi0ed out an 8tem July 3 only heard fr9m the buyer once July 2 when I printed the shipping label from ebay. Usps got it delivered Monday it was 10 miles fr9km where it was stopped r9 go. Usps messed u0 I can't file a claim as ebay is third party but ebay says usps is t9 blame and yes that's true but I can't get help the item I was spospoed to get 674 dollars. I've been fight8ng support since Monday took a few days off and will be back at Monday the 28th. Has anybody win a similar case. I wasn't told that I could choose for the buyer to sign a package and ebay never altered to grt it signed as thr item was 800 dollars when I sold it. Than they forced me to pay 131 in fees and even when I sold another item that went to its new home just fine. And it'd telling me funds are avaibke but I a, comfus3d last known update was July 22.

Mentor2 weeks ago@tenn_0 Your question is very hard to understand, please try typing a bit clearer.
Here's what I think you are saying....
You sold an item and shipped it with an eBay shipping label. It was delivered to the wrong address by USPS?
Was the sale total over $750 ( including shipping) If yes then you are required to have a signature on delivery in order to prove delivery.
If you shipped USPS then have you tried a missing mail search if the package wasn't delivered to the address on the label.

OP2 weeks ago@comics-scifi-collectibles I didjy know i needed a signature. Ebay let the 800 dollar item go through my earnings were 674 but since usps messed up upon final delivery even though in ebay it said delerieved. I want to continue to fight this. Since the buyer never responded to me at all either.

Mentor2 weeks ago@tenn_0 Did you contact USPS as I suggested to have them check the GPS that shows were the package was delivered. If they delivered to the wrong location then they should retrieve the package. eBay won't contact USPS for you, that's the sellers job.
Contact Customer service
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type PAYOUT in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
Since the policy is clear that you need a signature on delivery for seller protection when the sale totals over $750 I am afraid that you are out the money. You can write it off on your taxes as a loss.

OP2 weeks ago@comics-scifi-collectibles i did all that contacted the US. PS they were able to see where the dropout had happened that it was delivered, but when I can't get ahold of the USPS. Location in Miami that took possession of the package to its final destination. Nobody will answer. And I've told eBay that many, many times they keep giving me the same ride act. Um, I can't get my refund. Because I didn't follow protocol. I have a signature, although that signature. I never saw it when I submitted the order for the buyer. I don't remember seeing it on there. And I feel like for high value item like that. They would have forced me to do a signature. The four I got the shipping label from the buyer
