Ebay is running some kind of scam
They made it impossible to get in touch with them on any subject.
They 'closed my return', which they couldn't do. The item had a 60-day return policy. Ordered on July 8 and delivered on July 11. That means I have until September 8 to return it.
They unilaterally 'closed the return' about a month ago. Today is August 27.
They made sure it's impossible to reach them over the phone, or through their stupid bots, or otherwise in order to dispute that.
This is a scam

Ebay's Money Back Guarantee is valid for 30 days.
The 60 day returns is through the seller.
