eBay is Prejudiced against Empty Mortar Shell Tubes, while favoring Empty Ammo Boxes.
I was just refused my appeal. It still doesn't make sense to me. I was trying to sell a empty container that once held a mortar shell. eBay list,s and has sold hundreds of used "ammo boxes" that once held shells as well. The only difference between the mortar case and an ammo box is that the mortar case is an empty tube instead of a box. It's just an empty plastic tube similar to a plastic mailing tube. There is nothing dangerous about it, and if mine is not allowed on the site, then I'd like eBay to remove the remaining mortar shell cases that are still for sale, and all the ammo boxes as well. There is nothing in the eBay policy that prevents the sale of a plastic tube that once held a shell. And Yes, I read and understand the policy. I can’t sell live grenades, but I should be able to sell the box they came in.
