What "New messaging"?
There is a place in your My Ebay messages Inbox to click on "Sent" to read the messages you have sent and also your original message is included if another member applies.
Why would you say the "Ask a Mentor" "stinks"? Have you had a bad experience here?

Sorry if you think that volunteers helping you stinks but we know how the system works and can often answer these type of basic questions quicker than CS.
