Ebay is giving the seller a hard time because we both agreed to local pickup, and they need to hear it from me but there's no avenue for me to tell them.
Summary: oldskeul shared an issue about an eBay purchase where they and the seller agreed on a local pickup for a large vintage painting to avoid damage through shipping. However, eBay is reportedly causing problems because they need confirmation from oldskeul, but there's no clear way to communicate this preference to eBay due to limited contact options. lady_madonna provided a link to eBay's guide on the pickup process to offer assistance.
I have purchased a vintage large original painting and the seller and I agreed for local pickup we live within a few hundred miles of each other because it will be undoubtedly broken by the time it gets here if it goes through the mail. The seller says eBay is giving her a hard time because I'm supposed to be able to tell them that we agreed to local pickup. However there is absolutely no way I can get in contact with somebody via phone number or even through eBay itself and all I am directed to is some AI device that is completely not understanding what I'm saying. It keeps saying if you have a problem with the seller. I don't have a problem with the seller, I have a problem with eBay because they're giving the seller a hard time when we both already agreed in the messages that local pickup is what we prefer. How do I tell eBay that we prefer local pickup because the seller says eBay needs to hear it from my mouth however there's no avenue to tell eBay that I prefer local pickup as well as the seller?

If it was the Bird of Paradise painting, the only delivery option for that was Priority Mail.
Delivery methods can't be changed by verbal agreement, after the sale.
There would have been a method to do this properly before delivery.
Now that you have the painting
The seller should "Mark As Shipped"
You should leave feedback
The seller's money will be released around 31 days after the original expected delivery.
