eBay is charging me for a shipping overage that USPS hasn't charged!
I sent a 9# package and it was received for a nominal shipping fee around $12. Now ebay is telling me that they are charging an additional $77 because the package was 36#. I have the receipt from the USPS proving the 9# dropoff weight. Also, I contacted USPS and they have delivered the package for the postage originally paid, and haven't charged more. How can I dispute this with eBay? Can I actually call and talk to someone, or do a live chat?? the Chatbots aren't helping me at all.

Mentor5 months ago@somo_3617. It sounds like it might be a dimensional weight surcharge. If the box is larger than what you stated OR the USPS equipment didn't measure correctly then USPS bills you through eBay.

The charge you received came from USPS through eBay - eBay did not determine the charge. USPS scans the package size, weight, class of service, and zip code when it reaches the hub. If there is an underpayment due to an error in the weight or dimensions, you are charged for the additional shipping cost. Based on the package size, you may have been charged dimensional weight.
You'll find instructions in the email you received about how to dispute the charge if you can convince USPS that it was incorrect.
