Ebay international tracking shows item was delivered to buyer and ebay refunded buyer
HI,
I sold an item to a customer in Australia for total of $165.00. Tracking shows that it was delivered using Ebay tracking. When you click on the tracking, it shows tracking provided only. The customer opened a request claiming they did not receive the item. My Ebay tracking shows it as delivered to the customers town in Australia. However, when I click on tracking details, on Ebay it says item not expected until January 26th. I cannot imagine that the item would sit around in the customers home town for that duration of time either. Ebay made a final decision and refunded the buyer the entire amount of $165.00 stating I did "not provide adequate tracking." This is a loss of the actual item and $165.00 to me. I am confused as to why Ebay is not standing behind their own international tracking as valid. I am very frustrated that they expect me to pay for an item that is in Australia according to their own Ebay tracking. I know there are a number of other tracking numbers associated with this including Australia Post, which come up when I search. Does anyone have any advice regarding how to appeal this? Or, is there any way I can atleast request my item back from Ebay's international postal service if they are the place that actually has it. I am at a complete loss here. Thanks

Mentor3 years agoWhen the buyer opened the dispute, did you not respond before the deadline with the tracking number that showed the item was delivered?

OP3 years agoYes, I provided Ebay with the tracking number the same day that the request was opened by the buyer.

Mentor3 years agoThen ebay should not have refunded, so something is not right. I suggest you send a Private Message with those details here:
