eBay International Shipping: The Glendale Heights "Black Hole" & The Customer Service Labyrinth
My package containing multiple consolidated items was sent on January 6, 2026, from Florida (US) to the Netherlands (Europe).
Tracking: CY354038210US
Couriers: eBay International Shipping (EIS), USPS, Easyship, Asendia.
The Situation:
Tracking shows the package was "Delivered" on January 20, 2026, but only to the eBay hub in Glendale Heights, IL. It never left the US. While eBay claims it was handed over to PostNL in the Netherlands, PostNL has confirmed they never received it. Easyship and Asendia explicitly stated the package was returned to eBay due to "issues encountered."
The Nightmare:
Attempting to resolve this via eBay Customer Service is a total nightmare of robots, nonsense, and blatant lies. I was forced to file separate missing package requests for every single item and some of them were not possible anymore. Claims are instantly closed by bots stating "delivered" because they only see the scan at the Illinois hub, completely ignoring the actual destination address. I’ve endured hundreds of messages and time-wasting interactions where representatives constantly lie about the package's location or promise a response within 24 to 48 hours, only to go silent for weeks.
The Fallout:
While some items have finally been refunded, many have not. These are unique, painstakingly consolidated items whose value to me far exceeds the purchase price. Both the sender and I have requested a manual search to re-dispatch the package, but we are met with a wall of automated silence.
Has anyone managed to get a human at the EIS hub to actually locate a physical package? Or should I call the police and report that eBay stole my package?

Mentor4 months agoYou say you consolidated the items. The International Shipping Service does not allow for consolidated purchases unless it is done a specific way. You cannot just combine shipping with International packages through eBay. Exactly how did you consolidate the items?
