Ebay international Shipping Question
Hi,
Long time 25 years eBayer here...I made a sale today from a new Ebayer.
1) Shipping Address shows an Illinois address but says buyer is from the United Kingdom
and has the following in the address:
evtn:y7thtn8
2) Also there us a "VAT" tax
I almost never sell to international buyers for a number of reasons so can someone explain to me what this means as Ive never seen this before.
Thanks in advance.
Kevin

Mentor2 years agoYou have been opted into the ebay International Shipping program, which means that your international buyers purchases are sent to Glendale Heights, IL (although there are other hubs). They will fill out the customs form and send the item to your buyer in the UK. The evtn:y7thtn8 identifies your buyer. Once tracking shows that the hub received your package, your obligation is done. If there are any problems, ebay will take care of the buyer. You keep the payment.

OP2 years agoThank you very much. I actually found that same paragraph last night...very much appreciate your reply and confirmation! I've sold to military PO boxes but this was the first time I received an international sale this way.
Thanks again! 😀 ðŸ‘
