Ebay International Shipping Program Issue/Glitch
I'm in Ebays International Shipping Program and I have a UK Customer who is having trouble completing purchase due to she is getting a message that says "this seller does not ship to UK". But I'm in Ebays International Shipping program and I went and checked all the settings and it shows I'm enrolled in the program. I went and made sure I don't have UK listed as an excluded country somewhere in settings and I went through all settings to make sure they are set correctly and all looks great. Now when you look at the see details in shipping section of the listing for countries ship to UK is not listed but UK is not listed in the excluded list either. So how do I fix this so my customer can make the purchase and the purchase is not anything thats not allowed. Seems to me there's a Glitch in the System. Any help would be very much appreciated.

You didn't provide an item #, but it could be that the item is not allowed to be imported to the UK. See this link:

The item was just a simple stuffed animal toy. So stuffed animal toys are not allowed to be shipped to the UK ? I reviewed the link you sent and I didn't see stuffed animal toys or other children's toys on the not allowed list.
I have looked at my listings that are stuffed animal toys and children's toys and in the ship to countries list UK does not show up. My other listings like books, clothing, mugs, collector items and etc in the ship to countries UK shows up in the list.

Mentor5 months agoIn looking at that listing it may be the size of the packaging that is needed for the item. The International Shipping Program has size and weight limits for packages. These limits will vary based on the country being shipped to. So if your packaging is too large for the EIS program then you probably still can ship directly to the buyer through another carrier but will lose the protection of the EIS program.

Stuffed animals can be shipped to the UK, so I can't see a reason for the restriction.
However, it looks like that item was sold on 4/8 so it doesn't look like anything prevented the buyer from making the purchase. Have you shipped it yet?

OP5 months agoI don't understand the restriction either. Yes it sold and I shipped it out the next day. My buyer ended being able to make the purchase by using a freight forwarder.

OP5 months agoYes I'm glad my buyer figured a workaround. Thanks for the info/post @jacbarcollectibles my item went out in 9x12 padded envelope and weight was only 9oz. Well that kind of stinks but I guess if I want UK buyers sounds like I'm going to have to put in weight and size of my shipping package I plan on using. I'm going to input this info in on one of my stuffed animal toys and see if UK shows up in the list of countries to ship to and if that works then I'll have to decide if I will do this on all my other listings of stuffed animals/children toys.
The funny thing is on my other listings (non stuffed animal/non toys) UK does appear in the list to ship to and in those I do not have the package weight or package dimensions. I'm not new to using EIS program I have had international sales before and all went smoothly off the top of my head can't say if any were UK. I still think there's a glitch here but thats okay maybe one day it will get squared away.
Thanks so much for all your help, I really didn't think I would hear anything on this matter since I'm just a small Ebay store and only started back in 2021. You've been a great help.
