eBay international: my item was returned and became the property of eBay??

I'm a seller. My company sold an exclusive item to a buyer overseas. They were not satisfied with it and eBay granted the return with no fault on my side, did not back charge me but, eBay said it's now eBay property and it will be destroyed. What! Why? It's a work of art with no problems or damage. Will it really be destroyed or resold. I don't want it ending up on the Internet at a reduced price which would undermine our business. I want proof it really was destroyed.

That's usually what happens to no-fault returns that eBay takes possession of, unless it's in a condition that it can't be resold. It's doubtful they have to provide proof either way, but you can ask. Best option to start is with social media, if you use that. Only use the Private DM or PM Messaging - do not post your account info publicly. Give them your User ID, your real name/address, the email attached to your account, Item #, and explain the issue in detail.
