Ebay instructed me NOT to ship an item.
Please help. I sold an expensive Teddy Bear and was ordered by Ebay NOT to send the item. They said that the account was not legitimate and I should not complete the sale. (I was so disappointed that I contacted EBAY customer service to understand WHY I could not complete the sale.) I had already purchased the shipping label but did not ship it. I received a message from Ebay today that the dispute was settled in the buyers favor and money is being taken from my account. WHAT DISPUTE? I was never told of a dispute. I was simply notified by Ebay that I could not complete the sale. Now I owe the buyer $$??? Please explain. Thank you!

Mentor2 years agoVoid the label.
Usually the message about the account not being legitimate means that there was a problem with the payment. The second message is puzzling, since generally they do not pull back the funds. I’m thinking perhaps it was a family member that used a card without permission, and they have worked it out. Or something like that.
Since you have not shipped, just relist the item. I would check your buyer’s feedback page. If it says not a registered user, there’s nothing you need to do. If it doesn’t, then I would block this member, just to avoid any future issues.
