@art_antics eBay does not have a Bulgaria site. Are you saying you want to ship items from Bulgaria? You can do this but it takes extra steps.
The first concern is setting up your account correctly so that you are paid.
If you live in the US then you create an account with your US address, SS# and Checking account.
If you live in Bulgaria then you set your account with your Bulgaria Address and a Bulgaria checking account.
Your registered name and address on your eBay account must match your checking account and government ID exactly. You can not use a PO box for your registration but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
I am an American living in Bulgaria. I believe I have set up my account properly with my Bulgarian Address and Bulgarian checking account. But, how do I deal with shipping? There seems to be no option other than setting a price, but how can I know what the price will be? Why can't I use Fed Ex International or UPS or DHL? All of which ship from Bulgaria, world wide? So far this is the only stumbling block. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Why can't I use Fed Ex International or UPS or DHL?
You should be able to use those carriers to ship your items from Bulgaria. They will probably not be listed when you go to select a shipping method, but a generic shipping might be available.
I would not subscribe to an ebay store until your listing limits are more than 250 listings per month.
@art_antics You will not be able to select a shipping carrier when listing since those are for shipping from the US even though though Fed Ex International, UPS and DHL are available in your country. You have to use flat rate shipping and then ship with your preferred shipping method. You won't be able to buy shipping labels on eBay.
Here's how to list on eBay.com from another country.
This is the list of eBay recommended postal carriers:
Look in the green Import section to see if you have any of those shipping methods in your country. If not then just be sure to use a shipping service that has tracking as it's needed to prove delivery to your buyer. Here's how to list on eBay.com if your items will be shipping from a country other than the USA.
You will need to start your listing using this Adv anced Listing tool that is located in Seller Hub:
1. The first thing you must do is enter the location where the item will be shipping from at the bottom of the listing tool. Select EDIT next to the Preferences section. Then select location and enter the country and the postal code for your location
2. Scroll down to the shipping section. Select small to medium packages from the first drop-down menu.
You don't have to enter your package weight and size since you won't be using calculated shipping so you can skip that section if you wish.
3. Next select FLAT same cost to all buyers from the second drop-down menu.
4. Click on the Plus symbol where it says Add services under DOMESTIC SHIPPING.
5. Scroll down on the shipping services page that will open and select one of the generic options for shipping from outside the US.
This shipping is going to be for shipping cost FROM your location to the US. Choose the shipping speed you wish to use.
Economy services from outside the country
Standard services from outside the country
Expedited Shipping from outside the US
You will manually upload your tracking to the item once you ship it within your stated handling time.
Tracking is your proof of delivery and is very important.
6. Enter your flat rate shipping cost in the box that is now on the shipping tool.
You will have to look up shipping costs from your local postal services website to the US.
Now for the international section since you probably want to ship to more countries than just the US.
1. Click on the toggle next to the international Shipping Section so it turns Blue.
2. Scroll down and select Worldwide or Destination from the drop-down menu. Destination means you can choose which countries you wish to ship to.
3. Click on the Plus to select a shipping service/ speed
4. Select your shipping speed: Economy, Standard or Expedited.
5. Once you select the shipping speed you will then see a box on the listing tool where you can enter the shipping cost.
6. You will have to look up shipping costs on your local postal services website for the countries you wish to ship to. Then you enter the Flat rate cost in the box.
