OP2 years agoI accepted an offer from a buyer, but the status remained at pending. I do not think the buyer was ever notified of my acceptance. I have two pending status offers that I have accepted. I think there is a glitch in the processing of the accepted offers, but Ebay refused to listen to me and just hung up.

Mentor2 years ago@swud This is not a glitch. This is eBay's new way of handling buyer sent offers.
This is eBay's new slightly confusing way of avoiding unpaid items on offers from buyers. It doesn't happen all of the time which I think makes it MORE confusing.
I experienced this for the first time on a buyer initiated offer just a few days ago. I accepted an offer then the system said I SENT an offer. So I went back and clicked on ACCEPT again and it moved the item to my sold awaiting payment section. I have no idea if my method was a one off fluke though.
Buyers are told that the offer was accepted, however the item does remain for sale until paid for.
Let me know if clicking on accept again makes the item move to your sold awaiting payment section.
This is an example of a site function that most customer service agents would not be aware of but that we know about since we use the site daily.

OP2 years agoI do not have the option to "accept" It shows in "pending" status with no links.

Mentor2 years ago@swud eBay must have changed the seller facing interface again. They keep testing things.
The only thing you can do is message your buyer and say something like " I just wanted to make sure that you saw that I accepted your offer. eBay has changed the way accepted offers are processed now and the item will remain for sale until you pay for it. I didn't want you to miss out on this great deal."
