eBay has put my account on restriction & is holding funds since May 1st. NO ISSUES EVER.
Hello. I've been selling on eBay for a few years. Perfect feedback. Zero issues.
I received a message on May 1st that my account was restricted and they needed certain docs and information. I sent in my updated driver's license, corporate docs, current address with utility bill, etc. They also requested bill of sales or invoices for the current items listed. It consisted of furniture, some car parts, car owner's manuals, etc. I provided what I could, but some of the items, such as furniture, was purchased in 2002. I told them I didn't have any documentation for that stuff. I have owned a car dealership for 25 years and closed it a year ago. The owner's manuals and parts were items that simply piled up over the years. I didn't want to throw it out, and know some of the older ones bring good money. Some $400+. I have sold a bunch and delivered, all with good feedback. I use eBay to purchase USPS shipping labels.
At the same time this is happening, I sold a Garmin watch for $550. I sent in the receipt from that watch, which I bought off eBay 3 years prior. I spoke to a representative, and he assured me this would be cleared soon. I asked if I should ship the watch. It was paid for and I didn't want the customer to be waiting for their item. He said to ship it. There would be no delay in funds.
Well guess what? They fully restricted my account, wouldn't tell me why, pulled all my listings (18 items), and put a hold on my funds. I can still buy, and it shows those funds are available for purchases, but when I tried to use them, it said fully restricted. When I call in all I get is the hold is possibly 6 months or more. The item has been delivered, they have the tracking information, and the buyer is pleased.
It has been over 5 months and they are still holding my funds. This seems absolutely ridiculous. I was a good, honest seller, and they completely shut me down without an explanantion and held my funds, even after a representative said to ship it out.
What can I do? Thank you for any help or suggestions.
