Ebay has not delivered international shipment from their center. Buyer opened a case against me.
A buyer in Italy purchased an item I was selling. The buyer paid for ebay's international shipping service.
I shipped the package to ebay's international hub in Illinois with the correct information for them to take care of international shipping.
I tried to enter the local tracking number, but I get an error the number is already in use by another member.
After a week or so, the buyer contacts me asking for an update on the international shipping. I have contacted support several times now but they cannot give me an update on the shipment or really any help. We go in circles, they pass me off to different reps until one of them tells me "Don't worry, it will ship, Ebay takes responsibility". One time, support even confirmed ebay has a technical error. Ultimately they told me not to worry, ebay will take care of it.
Now the buyer has opened a case against me and my option is to respond... I don't know what to do. I don't have any visibility to where the package is. My local tracking number said it was delivered to their hub.
Has anyone faced this situation before?

Reply to the case with the tracking # proving delivery to the hub. Then in the case, ask eBay to step in.
That's all you're responsible for...getting it to the hub. eBay is responsible for getting it to the buyer from the hub.

Mentor9 months ago@n_soroka As long as you have tracking proof of delivery to Illinois then your job is done.
eBay will refund the buyer out of their pocket and you keep the $ from the sale.
This is the benefit of using the eBay International Shipping Program.
