eBay has been charging me for shipping labels, and also supposedly, the buyer as well.
I have just caught on that my payouts are way low, and the reason is, that eBay is charging me for the shipping label, even though all of my listings are set for the buyer to pay for the shipping. This is horrible and I am so far, unable to get anyone to fix this.

Buyers do not buy a shipping label for you, they cannot because they do not receive your address.
The buyer pays what you state as your shipping cost, then You use that money from your payment to purchase a shipping label to ship to their address in the order details.

OP1 year agoI don't understand, if the buyer is paying the shipping, why is eBay still charging me for the shipping label and deducting that from my payout?

OP1 year agoI am not offering free shipping, I am expecting the buyer to pay for shipping, not eBay to deduct the shipping from my payout. I have discovered this has been going on since January to the tune of over a hundred or more dollars.

This has nothing to do with Free Shipping!
You post a shipping cost on a listing.
The buyer pays that cost when they send the payment.
You use the money you received as the shipping cost from the buyer to purchase a label through ebay or directly from the shipper.
Once the label is printed the tracking is uploaded to the order. If you take it to the shipper, you manually upload it to the order so the buyer can see the updates.
You get the package into the hands of the shipper either by dropping it off or arranging for pickup.
No money comes out of your pocket it comes from the buyer's.
AGAIN, since the buyer does not have your address how can they send you a shipping label they cannot send you one through ebay messages.

OP1 year agoApparently, you do not grasp this, I am paying for a shipping label to send to the buyer, that supposedly the buyer has paid for. But they are taking the money out of my payout. So, I am losing the fee for selling, plus I am losing the money for shipping when I have listed the item where the buyer pays for calculated shipping. I do not understand why the buyer is paying for shipping and I am also paying for shipping. But enough of this, if I cannot get help, I do not need to sell where they double dip on the shipping. I cannot explain this any further.

OP1 year agoMy fault, I finally figured it out. It was my failed figuring. Sorry.

OP1 year agoDear sir, I am an elderly man an I sometimes do not grasp things as I should. I did not understand that eBay was adding the cost of the shipping label to the amount of my sold item, then on the line above, showing the deduction for the shipping label. I finally figured out that they were adding the shipping label cost to my original item price, and I just didn't realize this.
I am so very, very sorry for all of this, and I just cannot apologize enough for my error. Please forgive me.
