eBay hacked
They hit hard. I tried tracing them down, but only to the last HUB... "Somewhere north of Hanoi, North Viet Nam. (China). They hacked into eBay, and got my account information, then drained it. After draining it, they started on my Bank. Once they got in, they started pumping $4,000 to $5,000 in and out every few minutes... Money laundering. I shut that account down, and opened up two new ones. One, I never used, Totally blank. the other I used to buy a cheap a $5.48 DVD. Both of the NEW accounts were hacked open, AND my defunct Old account that was "LOCKED" at the bank, and I had the two new accounts locked as well. They got into the guts of the bank, unlocked my 3 accounts, and started pumping money in and out again around 3:AM every day. I'm still fighting with the bank over it, and they can SEE it in their records, but haven't a Clue how it's happening. `Major wake-up call, right?
SO, they've taken all MY money, and bought me dry by purchasing little trinkets and things... The bank account shows the purchases, but when I go to eBay and look for what they bought, everything's been erased in my history during since they started this crap. I can see Before, and I can see the one thing After, but everything THEY buy, they erase the purchase. They didn't do that the first time, and through eBay, I was able to get the information that tracked them down to "North of Hanoi". They discovered I did that, and since then, along with the item they started with, is no longer available to be called up.
eBay is compromised. If you have a debit or credit card registered with eBay/PayPal, they can get into your bank. The brand new debit card I never used, with a new PIN, Password, and Account Number; they were into it and pumping money big time, and the Bank never even KNEW it was going on until I had them look it up!! Now they're freaking out because Hackers got INTO the banks secure operating system and are now having their way with it. (Talking again with the Bank Manager, she let it slip that someone else has a similar thing going on with their account as well...) All the transfers are mid to high $4,000, and they all happen very early in the morning, around 3:AM.
One more time: I Personally, face to face, had ALL 3 of my accounts locked, OK? I have the Bank receipt they locked them. BUT, the Hackers still got in and UN-LOCKED them from The BANK'S Side of things!

Mentor2 years agoThis doesn't sound at all like an eBay hack. Nor does it sound like a PayPal hack. It sounds like your debit card number was stolen and criminals are using it to make purchases on eBay - possibly through a card reader in a store or ATM. Or your bank has been hacked, which would explain the "freaking out." You yourself wrote...

You're saying they got into the bank's system. They can't do that through eBay.
If anyone was buying on your eBay account, you'd see the purchases in your Purchase History. They can be hidden, but they can't be removed. What the criminals are doing are making purchases on eBay (and possibly elsewhere) with your account information. That's a bank problem, not an eBay problem.
