Ebay guarantee is a LIE: Lost Appeal and $763 Purchasing From Scam Seller
Title basically sums it up.
A scam seller sold me something on ebay and had it shipped out a few days later.
The shipment says it was delivered and signed for, but it was never delivered to me and the receiver doesn't exist at my address.
I opened a case for this item and contacted UPS who confirmed that this was delivered to a different address than my own.
After two more appeals, ebay has still ruled in favor of the seller and now they're walking away with my $763.
The seller account is an account with no feedback that was created just a week before selling to me.
This is a common scam where sellers ship things to a different address in the same zip code as the buyer in order to spoof the tracking.
All ebay had to do was call UPS to confirm that this was delivered to a different address. I explained this multiple times over the phone. This was obviously not done and no leg-work was put in by the ebay support team. One phone call.
ebay guarantee thrown out the window.
