ebay found against me in an item unreceived case yet buyer texted they received item!
anyone know how to get case reversed? i've had almost no views on my 100+ auctions since the unresolved case and refund vs before it.
there was an unreceived case ($4 item!) by a repeat buyer. no tracking bc so cheap. I emailed the buyer twice through the ebay system and no answer. Ebay found against me and closed the case. the algorithm seems to now have made my items not show up to others; there's a significant difference. The day the case closed I used the buyer phone number ebay provided and texted her. She said she had no idea why there was a case, that she received the item "a week ago" and sent her email address to send her a paypal invoice. Ive asked her to go back to ebay and say it's received and if they recharge, I'll happily refund the $, but she didn't. I appealed with ebay and asked that they ASK her if she received it and they found against me with a form letter. I responded with an attachment of hte screen shots of the texts which are clearly with her and the number she has on file with ebay, and her providing her email for me to charge her again! They responded with another form letter and told me bc no tracking the decision stands and it will take 12 months for it to drop off (!). I have one negative feedback out of 9000+ transactions ever. is there any recourse? this is insane. Surely there should be no tracking needed for items under a certain $ amount and given seller history we should be given benefit of doubt especially when buyer does not respond to any attempts at contact through ebay? though this is't the case and what can I do now, to get that negative case reversed?? seems proof of receipt isn't enough ?!

Mentor1 year agoHi @scrapbookyourworld
Many sellers skip tracking on inexpensive items. It makes sense.
Most experienced sellers know that they automatically will lose an INR case if they can’t provide tracking info with the word ‘Delivered’ … so must automatically and immediately issue a refund if an INR is filed … BEFORE eBay can get involved.
I haven’t heard of eBay reversing itself with the facts you present. I’m sorry. But maybe others have. You can post a question on the Selling Board if another Mentor doesn’t have a better answer than I. Good luck!

Mentor1 year agoUnfortunately eBay requires tracking information for all items that are shipped. Without tracking you lose any case for an item not received. You also cannot prove that you shipped within your stated handling time so that gets you a defect on your account. eBay will not find in your favor no matter what the buyer says since you cannot prove delivery by the way eBay requires.
I know it seems harsh but eBay has certain rules that must be followed and they cannot change the rule to suit one seller or they would have to allow any claim made by a seller.
