eBay fees
Just sold an item and eBay took almost 1/3 of the money! Is this the acceptable norm now? Where else can I sell for a more reasonable cost?

Mentor5 months agoeBay's highest Final Value Fee (FVF) percentage is 15.3%, which applies to sales of Books, Magazines, Movies & TV shows.
Your listings all are in categories that carry eBay's standard FVF percentage, 13.6%.
That percentage is applied to the Total Paid by your Buyer. Usually that total include the price of the item + the shipping price shown in the listing + some sales taxes.
You've got 603 positive feedbacks and your selling ID has sold more than 300 items. Is it possible that you are just now realizing that eBay's fees are not based on Item Prices alone?

Mentor5 months agoBuyer sends item price + shipping + sales tax. You get the item price + shipping less final value fee (which is 13.6% on most categories).
