eBay Fee
Why is EBay allowed to charge fees on your shipping money? Since they take fees out, that always makes my shipping money short. In order to overcome this I have to overcharge for shipping. eBay’s greediness sets the seller up for failure.

Mentor2 years agoeBay decides how fees are calculated.
Individual sellers get to decide whether or not it makes sense to sell an item or not based on the fees eBay charges.
Suppose there are three sellers selling the same item.
Seller A charges $90 with $10 shipping.
Seller B charges $100 with free shipping.
Seller C charges $1 with $99 shipping.
Which seller should pay the lowest fee? In other words, which selling strategy should eBay encourage?
Under the current system, the fees are the same for each seller.

eBay has never hidden this. This is all clearly disclosed, and it has been this way for several years now.
It’s like this on most other online venues.
