Ebay envelopes
Yet ANOTHER lost ebay envelope. No tracking. Refunded my buyer. EBAY GET OFF YOUR A** AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR ENVELOPES. There have been SO MANY complaints with YOUR ENVELOPES. Why are you not TAKING CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. This is WHY I am paying you 13% of my sales. Do your JOB EBAY. I am getting fed up with you not keeping up your end of the bargin and there are MANY SELLERS who feel the same way. Take a look at all the complaints with YOUR ENVELOPES.

eBay Standard Envelopes are "letters" that are under 3.5 ounces. If they don't look or feel like a letter after packaging, then they are probably not going to pass through the system as a "letter". Envelopes must be machinable - flexible enough to pass through the slalom course of spindles, belts, and corners of a high speed letter-sorting machine. You may see some white blurs in the image below that are letters traversing the high-speed slalom course.
Non-machinable envelopes will be ejected from the system and won't be scanned. They will not have met the requirements of an eBay Standard Envelope, nor of a USPS "letter".
If your letters are machinable (flexible), and can be scanned by the equipment, then if they are lost you will be covered by eBay's insurer.
Most eBay Standard Envelope scan failures (and postage due) are because of packaging that does not meet the USPS standard requirements for a letter.

OP2 years agoRead more **bleep**. There is a huge problem with ebays standard envelopes. The lost % is HUGE. The tracking on the envelopes is HORRIBLE. Instead of directing sellers to a article that DOES NOTHING to fix the problem. How about YOU MENTOR get with ebay and SHOW them ALL the posts with sellers having problems with the envelopes. You are doing NOTHING to fix the problem. You sound JUST LIKE EBAY "read this article" what a JOKE. Next time respond with a SOLUTION or dont respond at all.

eBay isn't here and won't see your post. I'm a member like yourself and certainly can't "fix the problem." If you want to communicate with eBay, you're free to contact them about your issue.
I provided a link to the article so you would know what process to follow to get a refund if the envelope is not delivered. I didn't tell you that reading the article would fix the problem. You can however, scroll down to the bottom of that page and contact eBay to report the problems you're having. If you're not interested in the refund, then don't read the article.
eBay offers this low-cost delivery method provided by USPS, and it gives you some level of protection. If this method of delivery isn't working for you though, you can pay more and use Ground Advantage.
