Ebay envelope selection not working
I'm having trouble with shipping an item. It is a small flat keychain under 3oz,, so I set the shipping to an envelope so shipping would only be around $1. Ebay allowed me to list it this way. It just sold, and the buyer paid me $1.29. Great, right? Except that when I tried to purchase my label, it said $4 and change for USPS Ground shipping, which is not the option I selected. I went through the list of other shipping options, and it says that an ebay standard envelope is not an option for items of this category and price. But they let me list and sell it that way? And now I will lose more than $3 on shipping a very small flat item. I will lose money on this if I can't figure this out. All the other shipping options are way more expensive.

You could put stamps on the envelope and take the chance to ship it without tracking. Tape the keychain to a piece of cardboard so that it doesn't get dislodged when it goes through postal equipment.
EDITED TO ADD: I looked at your Sold items ... and ALL of them show a shipping cost of $4.58 or $4.62 to me in California. I didn't see any item listed with $1.29 shipping. Is that on another account?

OP1 year agoIt should be the LA Gear, and no, it is on this account. The buyer already sent me shipping of $1.29, I'm not sure why different numbers are showing up, or why the standard envelope is no longer a shipping option. I may take your suggestion with the envelope.
Edit to Add: I looked at the shipping again, the buyer selected USPS First Class letter, which is also not an option for some reason.
