Ebay doesn't recognize my purchase as a guest and doesn't indicate any record of the purchase made
I purchased an item on Dec 31, 2024 as a guest and have provided the order number to the software. I want to return the item but ebay doesn't seem to recognize my purchase. I would like a phone number which I can call to get guidance. Additionally, today Jan 4, 2025, I have also opened an ebay account with the hope that ebay will locate my purchase but ebay still doesn't seem to have any record of the purchase even though I've alternately entered my email address and my order number. Any ideas?

If you made the purchase using a guest account ( not logged in to your eBay account) it will not be in your purchase history.
Log out of your eBay account and request the guest account details from this page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065&st=
Then you can start a refund request, track your order, or contact the seller, from the guest account email. Do not log in to your regular eBay account.
