eBay doesn’t stand behind there own stuff
I bought an eBay gift card and upon scratching the stuff over the code the last four digits were missing. Customer service said it had already been redeemed. Upon further investigation the CSR told me oh, yes the account that used your card has been suspended because of using stolen cards. So yours seems to have been stolen. I said well what happens now and the guy said I’d call the police. I said you’re not going to give me my $50? He said no it’s out of our hands. Anyone else had this happen and does anyone know how we can fight EBay? They got my $50. I got **bleep**. F EBay!

If the last four digits are missing, CSR would not be able to tell you that the card was linked to another account. Those last 4 digits could be any one of 10,000 combinations, and CSR is not given access to individual card numbers.
Those scratch numbers can be easily scratched off. There are many reports of that.
