ebay decides item not as described without any review. Seller not at fault pays shipping
Apparently ebay automatically decides an item is not as described whenever a buyer reports an item not as described without giving a sell a chance to respond. I just had a buy claim not as described when the item was was clearly as discrited the buy made false statements. I have no appeal rights and ebay will not address my ccalls into ebay.

Mentor1 year agoHi @jonbuilder There has never been a seller yet who came here and said they didn't accurately describe their item. Of course they think it's accurately described. They're who wrote the description. But the buyer has every right to disagree. eBay cannot know if the item is correctly described or not and thus stands by the eBay Moneyback Guarantee. You can report the buyer if you honestly believe the buyer acted with malice, and are not just acting out of petulance and disappointment for a sale that went south. But eBay also keeps a record of the sellers who do and it will impact your account. It's really not important that you believe the buyer. It's important that you conduct your eBay business professionally. So grit your teeth and handle the return professionally and with as much grace as you can muster. Good luck!

OP1 year agoI get it just brother me the buyer get away with a false claim. Apparently seller does not accept returns has not teeth. There is nothing I can do professionally or non professionally. Ebay makes the rules. It is not spelled out clearly that a buyer can request a return and will get free sipping two ways regardless of how good the description is. Now I know if I receive an item that does not work for me I can get a return with free shipping all I need to do is claim not as described. I could have return the $800 boots I purchased on ebay and cannot wear do to fit. I did not feel justified sticking the seller. Moving forward I have starting listing items for sale on different platform.

You can report the buyer for returns abuse (misusing the eBay Money Back Guarantee or the returns system) here https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/resolving-buyer-issues/report-issue-buyer?id=4084 It won't get your money back, but if eBay receives enough reports about the buyer, they will take action. They don't tell us how many is enough.

Gosh, it's spelled out at least once under the link in my reply. Here's a screen shot from another help page. There's lots of them in there. I can't understand how you did not find any of them. I don't understand why you thought it necessary to look. Well, if you don't want to report the buyer, it's okay with me. At least add his username to your Blocked Buyer List.
