ebay Customer Service
How do I get a hold of someone at ebay? I purchased an item that had free return shipment. The Seller asked me to pay for the return shipment and they would credit me for it. Now they keep claiming that they don't understand what I am asking for, however I have sent them details and screen shots and everything. Now they are just not responding. I would like ebay to get involved and help with the situation, but I can't seem to find my way through the button options and chat bot to get to someone from ebay that can help. Any advice on how to get to a Customer Service person at ebay?

Before you contact Ebay Customer Service, did you file a Return Request and if so did you ask Ebay to step in?

OP2 years agoUnfortunately, the Return Request option is not available since I submitted a return for the item and was credited for the item. The Seller was not able to provide a shipping label and asked if I would pay for the shipment and they would credit me for the shipping charges. I provided them the tracking information and then they said they were unsure what I was asking. I explained the details, with screen shots, of this and I got the same unsure email. I responded again and now its been radio silence. Due to this, there is no option for a Return Request, and I can't seem to figure out how to get in contact with anyone from ebay to help. That's why I am looking to find out how I can get ebay's attention.

If you have already been refunded, the case is closed. Ebay cannot force the seller to pay the return shipping cost.
If you already returned the item and paid for the return shipping costs, there is nothing you can do to recoup those costs if the seller will not reimburse you.

OP2 years agoI don't believe that is the case. I have written confirmation from the seller asking me to pay for the return shipment and then they will reimburse me, and the seller also states on their sales page that they will pay for return shipment. I was able to reach someone at Ebay and they are now assisting me with obtaining a credit.
