Ebay condones fraudulent returns
I sold an item for "parts only". The item was a die cast car made by Ertl 1/18 scale. It had some defects and was advertised as JUNK YARD CAR FOR PARTS ONLY. The box was mint but the member complained about it after receiving it. Ebay took upon itself to pay the buyer back his money and return the item back to me. When item arrived, the nice box was destroyed and the diecast car was missing the hood, steering wheel, bumpers and both doors. Ebay has a bad reputation for condoning this. Their policy sucks big time. It's not that they already beat you up with high fees, they allow anyone member to buy your item, steal parts off it, beat it up and make you take it back all at your costly loss. Some business practice! Screw the little guy trying to make a buck.

None of your recent sales state condition as "For Parts Only".
Did the buyer file a Return Request through Ebay, and if so, how did you handle it?
Read this: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/managing-returns-refunds/handle-return-request-seller?id=4115#section1
That page also has a section regarding receiving an item that has been damaged.

OP1 year agoebay automatically paid the buyer back his money in full as soon as it was scanned "delivered". Ebay is a rip off and their so-called policies belong in the toilet. Their agents are LIARS and RUDE. Where do they find these stupid people at anyway? I guess they find recovering dopers and train them to screw the SELLERS who are only trying to make a few extra bucks while ebay rakes in a billion dollars a day with their FEES and screwing members like they did with me. So now, I have to screw the next guy selling the same type of item I sold and strip off the parts that were taken off mine and return it for a full refund. The item I mailed out was NOT the item returned to me.

OP1 year agoIf you know how to read, it was not advertised as "parts". It WAS complete. The buyer removed parts for what he needed and returned JUNK to me and ebay policy is **bleep** as they allow this to happen. Screw ebay.
