ebay closed my inquiry bc I notified my bank of an issue??
I have a dispute with a seller. The seller sold an item AGAIN.that I had already purchased and the $100 item was sent back "return to sender" bc the Post Office made a mistake in not forwarding my mail. He refused to refund my money even though he sold the item i purchased already. I asked eBay to step in. Then I let my bank know.. EBAY IMMEDIATELY CLOSED OUT MY INQUIRY BECAUSE I LET MY BANK KNOW I HAD A DISPUTE.. **bleep**?? I DONT UNDERSTAND.. CAN A SELLER JUST RIP YOU OFF LIKE THAT AND THATS COOL WITH EBAY???

You should have waited for the eBay dispute to run it’s course before contacting your credit card company.
It’s okay to file disputes consecutively … BUT NOT simultaneously.
Since you’ve already notified your bank … just let them handle the refund for you, since you’re still entitled to it. I’m very sorry this happened.

Mentor3 years agoYou cannot attempt to get two refunds for one transaction, and that's how it appears when you open cases with multiple sources. That's why eBay closed your case.

Yes, if you take a step besides eBay, eBay stops the help process.

No, it is not "cool" with Ebay when sellers "rip you off", but Ebay will close a refund request if the buyer has already contacted their bank. They do not want buyers to double dip for a refund.
