eBay change of shipping address reverted back?

Question

So… was looking for a specific item I needed. Found it. Checked my shipping address on BOTH eBay and PayPal. Then placed my order.

order shipped. I even noticed that the package (by USPS) was headed to the wrong state. So I went back to my eBay account info, and the address har reverted to my old address!

Thing is, I had this exact same issue come up over a decade ago the previous time I moved.

So the item I need is headed to an address 500+ mikes away from me (it was shipped from less than 60 mikes away, partially because I would get it quicker). Now I don’t know if I will ever receive my package.

Yes, there is an active change of address on file with the USPS.

Still- what gives? Why did my address change not “stick” with eBay?

Did you make the new address your Primary Shipping Address?

The Primary Shipping Address is the one that appears by default at checkout, though you have a chance to change that before you complete checkout.

Once you add your new address, be sure to delete your old one. Each time you make a purchase, you should review the displayed ship-to address at checkout and make a change if needed before completing payment.

It's a good idea to have the correct address in PayPal, but that doesn't impact your eBay purchases (even if you pay that way). It's your primary eBay address that is used on your order.

If you have a forwarding address on file with USPS and the seller is using that carrier, you should be OK.
