Ebay calculation DIM weight ?
We have had 3 Ebay shipments which had UPS label corrections , which cost us enough to negate our profit on sales . It was a UPS correction because of the DIM wt. . We used the EB calculator for these shipments initially ,but when UPS got it they said this 3 lb package because of DIM wt. is actually 19 lbs .. I called Ebay and issued a Case Dispute , and EB refunded the first label correction . Now its happened 2 more times, and have again issued dispute cases, and they said they will issue refund but now no refund on last 2 shipments.
Our products are some what large 24" x24" x 2" and weighs only 3lbs . the box is 25x25x5", 3lbs we have looked for something less height ,but what we found is 3x more expensive than current box. Our margins cant handle that. We have been shipping with this box for 3 yrs ,and no problems ,but now this ???
One answer I got from EB was a page of explanation of DIM , and the bottom of page it says " let EB do the calculations for you" ,well that's what we've been doing ,and its incorrect, and doesn't incorporate the DIM . What's going on here , we want our promised refund ? and a corrected calculator.
Their really being "DIM wits" about this .. Thanks for any help.
