Ebay automatically discounting sellers items
I am a 26 year customer of ebay...both buying and selling. Yesterday I discovered that ebay gave at least two 50% off offers to buyers and one that looks like 25% without asking me prior to making the offer.
Needless to say I was shocked and had to cancel the purchases when I discovered what was happening. I tried calling ebay......the wait was 59 minutes....so pathetic in terms of customer service.
It turned out that they had some 16 items listed for automatic discounts that I did not give offers on which I turned off.
When items don't sell, I go in on my own and discount them. Even when giving an offer, it has gotten more diffficult. Last week I could not pick the item that qualified and insert a specific discounted price.
Plz beware of the above issue.
