Mentor2 years ago@gpachl There is not a number to call eBay about this, it's a set required policy based on the $ amount of the sale when shipping TO the Authenticity center. eBay may also add it as a requirement when they ship the item to a buyer.
What problems are you having with signature on delivery?

OP2 years agoFed ex Signature required and I am not able to alter location, time, or even have left at Fed Ex terminal for me to go and sign for and pick up, even though I have a Fedex account. Must be delivered and signed for at the address - per shipper (ebay) - not the seller - the seller made it abundantly clear that they are not responsible after the item is sent to the authenticity location. Problem is I work and Fedex gives you an approximate time window for delivery, and even today, they came before the given time window. Did reach Fedex customer service and they told me the shipper sets the parameters, so nothing they can do. Did finally reach ebay customer service and they basically said they have to wait for Fedex to send back item before they will contact me for delivery options. Thanks.

Mentor2 years ago@gpachl Yes, unfortunately what CS said is correct the package will have to be returned and then you can arrange to ship it again.

OP2 years agoFailed to mention that customer service for ebay brought up an option that I could put it on vacation hold and then something else can be done after a certain amount of time. Just don't understand that this obviously must have come up many times before to come up with the vacation hold alternative, yet they just can't change the parameters with the shipper when contacted. Just left me incredulous and didn't really know what to say. I will probably just file not received and ask for refund. Thanks.
