Ebay Authenticated A Fake Item As Real
I ordered a pair of Rick Owens that eBay authenticated as real when they are not. I've had several people look at them and compared them to sold pair / pairs for sale on Grailed and they are completely different. I called support multiple times pointing out things they should look out for, and it was still authenticated as real. It's honestly my fault for not getting a second opinion on them before buying, but I trusted eBay's authentication system hoping they'd notice that the shoes are not real. Now I'm being told I need to contact the manufacturer for them to recheck the shoes when Rick Owens doesn't have an authentication system for second hand items. I can't charge back or anything because I used eBay gift cards, so I have zero idea on what to do.
