eBay asks me to self-verify with the phone number that isn’t mine
Does anyone have a similar problem? I tried to sign in to my account but I have to verify myself by phone number, but the number that I put in my primary address is the number of a freight forwarder I use and it’s a landline, so I cannot get the verification code. I tried contact eBay, but they cannot help me with this problem. The only suggestion is to create a new account, but I already have placed some orders on my account and paid for them. I can see the updates in my email, but I cannot track the orders or if I want to return my orders, I will not be able to. It prompted me to verify myself with the phone number because it said that I changed my device, but I have used the same device with this account all along. Now, does anyone know what I should do next, or other communication channels other than calling? Because the staff seemed a little bit confused when I talked to them, I want other channels I can use texts like email, so there is no miscommunication.
