EBAY AS A POSITIVE COMMUNITY for both Buyers and Sellers
I have been an avid buyer on eBay since 1996. There have been many changes and evolutions to the business and I can now say I rarely "shop" on eBay. Last year I started selling items on eBay and am learning a lot.
The eBay shopping experience SHOULD be all about the buyer. There should be unique items, at fair prices, with moderate shipping to make both buyer and seller content. This is not the case. No one can just browse on eBay anymore without being traced in some regard. I get offers for items (on my own site) that I really have no interest in. I get offers for car parts on a car that I never owned. I've tried to tweak my preferences but the offers continue. If someone is casually browsing or researching, they shouldn't have rabbit tracks to every item they've looked at. Unless I hit that "watch" item or "heart" item, I shouldn't be hounded to buy. It just clogs up my time. Frankly, the views and the watches mean jack squat to the seller so I'm not sure why we are being supplied with them. Ebay should simply have a buyer's account in which you buy only and a seller's account in which you only sell. It would make everything so much easier! I posted an item and got five different offers to buy the same item I posted which is not fair to anyone. It's unfair to the seller, unfair to the unsuspecting buyer and unfair to build a system that is inaccurate and somewhat deceitful.
Does anyone else feel the same and what can we do about providing much needed feedback to the individuals in charge?
