Ebay approved return
Hi, I had a buyer purchase a DVD and they received it. Then 22 days later they open a return request because they found a better price. Ebay approved that return request. How is this even possible? Is it ebay policy for buyers to be able to return items simply because they found it cheaper?

Mentor2 weeks ago@ljmiller71924 You have free returns on your listings. That means the buyer can return an item for any reason for 30 days. While you do pay return shipping you can withhold the out bound shipping cost as long as it was charged separately and not free shipping.

OP2 weeks agoWow. I did not realize that they could return for just any reason. I will have to change that. Thanks for your help.

Mentor2 weeks ago@ljmiller71924 If you wish to qualify for Top Rated Plus discount and the TRS badge on your listings then you do have to offer Free Returns. Remorse returns are usually pretty rare. It's better to keep the Free Returns that way you can withhold the outbound shipping. Otherwise buyers will SAY an item is not as described to force you to pay return shipping and refund 100%.
How many free returns have you had buyers use? How many not as described returns, not that there was actually anything wrong with the item?

OP2 weeks agoI’ve had 6 returns since July 2025. All of which were after I became a top rated seller. Three of those were because the item didn’t fit (even though I have measurements in the description). Another was they no longer needed it. One said it didn’t match description. And then this last one they found a cheaper price!
