eBay app ID verification image uploader
Summary: i-make-it-rain is experiencing issues with the eBay mobile app, which fails to upload their ID for identity verification. The app repeatedly sends them back to a previous page, rendering the 'continue' button unusable. Attempts to use existing images also fail, and the AI assistant offers unhelpful, repetitive guidance. Direct contact with eBay is not possible, leading to withheld payments until the issue is resolved.
Mobile app won't upload my I.D. for identity verification. I take the photos it has me take and once I hit submit it just returns me to the page just before you take pics of your id but only then with the "continue" options button broken. On a broke cached page. I've tried using existing images of my id also to no avail through the app.
The AI assistant for eBay is a moronic, redundantly wrong assault on productivity and a down right perpetual dog chasing tail in providing the same wrong answer repeatedly expecting me to have different results. No way to directly contact eBay regarding the issue and payments are being withheld until my id verification is submitted and reviewed. Heeeelp!!!

However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.
1. Verify that the name and address on your eBay account matches your brick and mortar checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#. You can not use a PO box for your registration address as seller but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.
3. Contact Customer service

Then Type Verify Checking account in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
