eBAY and their constant 40001 Card Condition Errors
All weekend long I have been experiencing major issues with eBay's ridiculous new trading card grading system.
Does not matter what I do or how I do it, eBAY's system is broken and it's killing my attempt at listing anything.
a) I go to my INVENTORY page and try to SELL AGAIN any of my inventoried items and I get a red bar with an error message (40001) about trading card condition needing to be applied. PROBLEM IS: card condition has already been filled out per eBAY's new standards. I can try to redo it a hundred times and nothing changes. It just refuses to permit me to list anything from my INVENTORY.
b) I go and create new listings and move them to INVENTORY. All the new FROM SCRATCH listings are all filled out exactly as eBAY wishes them to be with the new trading card grade requirements. Now I go to move those brand new listings from INVENTORY to LIVE LISTINGS and I get errored on all of them.... 40001 again.
This is ridiculous! eBAY's continuous toying with everything that has never been broken in the past just creates more and more issues. Now I have not been able to list anything all weekend long. Is eBAY going to pay me for my time and lost sales? Of course not! It's a shame that Amazon does not offer auctions. If they did, then eBAY would be losing it's sellers left and right.
I contacted eBAY's worthless customer service department Saturday night about this and was chatting for 2 hours with 5 different reps. Besides their itsy bitsy fragile feelings, they were no help at all. I finally got a supervisor who told me that it was a system wide issue and to try again tonight. When I told her that I stated to each of the reps that it was an eBAY issue and was told it was not, she just pretty much shrugged her shoulders and told me to try again tonight. Well, here I am again tonight and guess what.... same crap!
Hey Velvet@ebay, perhaps you can get to the bottom of all these issues. You are the ONE single employee from eBAY that actually does the community well and therefore you are appreciated by the masses.
For 3 days now I have been at a standstill because I am not able to list anything. eBAY needs to learn to stop screwing with things that are not broken. They are NOT impressing anyone, especially the sellers. And if they actually expect us to believe that buyers are asking for all of this, then they are more pathetic than they come off as being.
