Ebay and indiscriminate decisions on listings

Question

So since you can never actually reach anyone at ebay I thought I'd turn to the users. I've been selling on ebay since 1999, 100% positive feedback. I primarily sell records. Help me understand:

1. A 50 year old album is a collectible. Artists receive no royalties from used records regardless of studio or unofficial.

2. Unofficial recording from the 70's or "bootlegs" as some call them again are now 50 year old collectibles.

3. Ebay blocks my listings but I can show over 15 listings that did occur of the same album. Is this just a game of chicken? There is no consistency with why one is pulled and another is left to run until complete.

I know Discogs does the same, they allow some but not others.

eBayâ€™s pulling listings of banned items is often compared with the Highway Patrolâ€™s pulling over speeders. They may not catch all of them â€¦ but the ones that they do catch usually have unequivocally broken the law.

Lack of consistency only means that eBay lacks the employees and algorithms to do a perfect job of catching banned items before they sell.
