Ebay alows scammers to continue to sell products
Ebay does not stop scammers from selling products. A friend spent over $550 for an item, the seller did not ship the item after the money hit the sellers account, and ebay did nothing about it. Ebay allows sellers to continue to rip us off because greedy ebay needs to commission from the sellers more than they value our business.

OP1 year agoOne other thing, I am now being rip[ped off by a seller. They sell a cigarette smoke detector. Once you get it you have to download an app. I had 2 other people on 2 other phones try to download the app and it does not download. The china address is one that my local post office says they would not be confident in shipping the items back too plus it would cost a fortune.
The seller will not send a good app so I can program the smoke detectors, ebay will do nothing and of course allow this scam company to sell on ebay still.
Funny that there is no " Leave feedback" offered to me on this. STAY AWAY FROM ALL CHINA COMPANIES, research what you buy and try to avoid using ebay as they do not care about us

There is a link to eBay's Money Back Guarantee on every listings.
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP1 year agoI bought two of these smoke detectors Sept 25th. On Sept 26th the owner or someone told me where to go to download the app that none of us can download. I started a return last week with no reply from the seller yet. Today the local post office said they wouldnt risk shipping it to the address in chineee and that it would be very expensive, so I held off and emailed you folks. I've asked the seller for a return label with no success many times.
They need to email me a return label and I'll return these and call it good.

If it's been 4+ business days since you opened the return for an item not as describe, then go back to the case and use the option to ask eBay to step in.
(Sellers in other countries can't send you a return label - their only option is for them to send you the money (for example through PayPal or similar). Sellers in China won't do it because of the high cost. Your goal is to get the refund.)

OP1 year agoI am not sure what this means. I have asked the seller to step in right aweay and he/she didnt. Not sure what is left for me to do. I feel violated by the sellers

I wrote to go back to the case you opened and ask eBay (not the seller) to step in.
Did you open a case as I advised in my first reply? If not...
