Question

You can't talk to a live person anymore, all you get is the AI **bleep**.

I bought an item it arrived broken, the sellers is contacting UPS but until they respond if they respondI'm in limbo.

This it what it's come down to.

@cobraactor You should file a return request. The seller should have refunded you after you provided photos of the item, the box, and the packing material. Then you hold on to all items until the seller insurance claim is settled. The insurance is for the seller, the buyer is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards.

Here's what you need to do:

Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.
