Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

Mentor2 years agoYou are brand new and have sold some very expensive items. Yes, you are subject for 30 hold of your funds. This is in case a buyer opens a return within the timeframe for the eBay 30 day money back guarantee. The funds will be held, not spent. Did they ask you for receipts for the items you sold?
