eBay’s lack of support for seller!
I sold an item and it got lost in the mail and I refunded the buyer and then the item gets delivered and I’m out my item and money. eBay’s stupid automated assistant is useless. There is no way to contact eBay. Anyone know how to get my money back?

OP1 year agoI should change the title to, “Close to impossible to find/get supportâ€. I finally found a way to get eBay to call me. Told them the item was delivered and they put in an appeal for me and the next day I had my money. I believe contacting right away and having used eBay for shipping made it where I was able to get paid.

OP1 year agoSo there really is no support for a seller on eBay. You are forced to give a refund then the buyer gets a free item and you are screwed even though eBay can see the item was delivered?

Mentor1 year agoThere is support for sellers.
There just is no further action from eBay if you refund a buyer.
I hear you. I've had 6 items "delayed" lost in the last two months and I have had to refund buyers.
It is frustrating. What I have been doing is filing a lost mail claim on the very first day eligible with USPS and they usually refund me about 3 days after I file the claim.
eBay considers your refund "voluntary" and if you don't refund they defect and punish your account.
It is the way eBay works to protect buyers.

Mentor1 year agoOnce you refund the buyer eBay considers the transaction complete.
The only way to get your money back is to request the repayment from the buyer.
You can work this out with the buyer. The type of payment is between the two of you and eBay will not help facilitate this.
