eBay’s Feedback Removal Policies are NOT FAIR
I don’t understand how eBay allows buyers to lie in their feedback? On Easter Sunday, a buyer purchased an item. He then messaged us 3x on Sunday to change his shipping address. He then left us a negative review that said 2 words “No communication†on that same Easter Sunday. When we got back to the office, dumbfounded we replied to each of his messages. We appeal the feedback because obviously that’s not right. We hadn’t even shipped the item yet. eBay denied the feedback removal request. I then call and get someone on the phone, they agree that it’s not right and appeal it. The appeal then gets denied!
IN WHAT WORLD IS THIS OKAY???
Recently another buyer had an issue with an item we sold. He claimed in the feedback that “he would have to pay for return shipping†when I explained to him how to open a case and told him I would provide a prepaid shipping label the same day he received the item. He kept the item never opened a case. But he lied in his feedback, which makes me as a seller look bad and that goes against their policy.
In both cases the buyers lied, It’s libel, slander it’s not true. And eBay allows it. It’s absolutely garbage customer service. Your sellers are your lifeblood and to not use common sense to protect them is insane.
