Mentor1 year agoIf you are referring to sales taxes then eBay collects and remits sales tax to the State that the item is delivered to. This is part of the Marketplace Facilitation rules. Sales tax would only be collected and remitted for your State if the buyer lived in your State.

Mentor1 year agoAre you talking about sales tax?
eBay buyers pay sales tax. eBay is required to collect sales tax at the current rate at the zip code in the delivery address.
If I, in Southern California, buy something from you, eBay will charge me sales tax at my regular current local rate. The money goes somewhere in Sacramento, California. No sales tax on that transaction is due to the state of Missouri.
IF there are some special Missouri laws about sales tax reporting requirements for online sellers who sell within that state,
I sure hope another Missouri eBay seller happens along to respond to your question. Otherwise, if you sell to somebody else in Missouri, eBay will collect the sales tax money and send it to your state's tax department; you probably will not have to worry about it.
Or are you talking about income tax? Like the withholding that is deducted from your paycheck on a "regular" job?
In general, eBay does not withhold any income tax from any seller's eBay earnings. In the very rare occasions when they might, it's because the seller has not provided a SSN or other taxpayer identification number to eBay. If that's the case, eBay will be unable to send you any payouts from your sales.
